Our vision as Cohort 20 is to foster the traits of compassion, commitment, creativity, courage, curiosity, and collaboration within each person. To fulfill this vision, our mission as Cohort 20 is to create an environment where we will enjoy learning and realize our academic potential. The educational, professional and personal needs of the whole person are met by providing support, advice, experiential academics in combination, artistic expression, service learning, and freedom to be different and TEAM work.
Cohort 20 will provide cooperative learning and confidence building, and offers a creative learning environment that stimulates and encourages individual progress and recognizes each person’s unique gifts. One of the key elements is respect. As adult learners and professionals, we should have knowledge in diversity education and work to include everyone. Our cohort is a team-learning environment, which must be part of the common language used to develop the shared vision. It must become a procedure; it must become the expectation of the way we are going to support a collaborative work culture. We all must take leadership in creating and supporting an environment where everyone can talk freely about his or her achievements and setbacks. We make a commitment that everyone will succeed and graduate in 3.5 years.
